Dr. Sumana Kolar Ramachandra is a Senior Consultant in Liver Transplant and Hepatobiliary Surgery at AIG Hospitals, Hyderabad. She completed her MBBS and MS in General Surgery, followed by a DNB in Liver Transplant and HPB Surgery. She further pursued an ASTS fellowship in Multiorgan Transplant Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, USA. Dr. Ramachandra has performed nearly 2,000 liver transplants and is proficient in living donor liver transplants, pediatric liver transplants, and complex hepatobiliary surgeries. She is one of the few female surgeons specializing in liver and multiorgan transplantation and serves as a committee member of Women in Transplantation at the International Liver Transplant Society.
